overnight stay in LA

Was difficult trying to sleep on the flight from Fiji so when I arrived into LA at 12ish, i was really tired,
I was picked up by the family Contreras, they are Dad (Jesse), Mum (Irma), daughter Amy (17) and son Jesse (6). So nice of them to have me stay.  They have their Sunday mtg at 3pm, which i wanted to go to, so we went home and I had time to get ready for the meeting.  After mtg we went to another families home for 'hospitality'. This is what they call it. It is when a service group will have the speaker over after the mtg. This happens every after every Sunday mtg. We went to a families home. They are originally from El Salvador

The meal we had was a soup from El Salvador. Reminded me of a
cabbage boilup except it didnt have potatoes. It did have kamo kamo
and other veges that I couldn't make out. They did tell me what they were and also the name of the dish, but I cant remember it. They squeeze lime juice into it and there is spicy salsa on the table to add if you want. It was yummy as.
After the soup sister brought around a Mexican dish. Not sure of the name of this one either, i need to write name of these dishes down. It was shredded chicken on a sauce on a totilla. It was yum. There was also Mexican breads. We had dessert, cakes and coffee. Heaps of food.
.

then there was Karaoke. i knew one song from the list. they were all spanish. Some of them I want to learn as they were lovely. The brother singing is from Cuba. It is his Karaoke machine and I am told he takes it everywhere when they have hospitality. He has a lovely voice. Reminded me of pops. I wanted to sing one. Mayb next time. I enjoyed my sleep when I got to bed.
Next day Irma, Jesse & I went to a favourite Mexican restaurant of there's for lunch.  I had Burrito's. It was huge & I couldn't finish it. With it I had a Hybiscus Water drink (very common in Mexico). Luv this yummy food. After lunch we picked up little Jesse from school & went to Skechers Outlet Store. I brought 3 pairs and Irma brought me a pair also. Total cost of the 4 was $79. We went to their local mall after, then it was time to pick up my bags and head to airport for next leg of the trip to Fort Laudedale Florida. Here I have a 5hr wait until my nxt flight to Costa Rica. I'm tired, so I might try get some sleep if I can.  Next stop Costa Rica...
